Fast forward to 2015, when I found myself in Qatar, on maternity leave, and itching to channel my creative energy. Knitting and crochet became my outlet, but soon, the calluses on my fingers told me it was time for a change. Little did I know that a simple posting on a job application would change the course of my life. My portfolio with crochet caught the eye of Malek Ben Said, the visionary architect of Tendances Green, hailing from Tunisia. His passion for creating green oases in the desert resonated with my love for natural materials and sparked a new chapter in my journey.
"Why me?" I pondered, amidst the oasis of creativity. Malek's answer echoed with the unexpected beauty of handmade creations. "I saw the flowers you conjured from mere threads, and I knew you could weave miracles with the essence of nature." Alongside Malek stood Rania Al-Ansari, my mentor and a Qatari businesswoman, whose intelligence and kindness left a lasting impression on me. Rania believed in my potential from the moment she saw my knitted items and whose unwavering support bolstered my confidence and ignited my entrepreneurial spirit.
And so, dear reader, my path led me to the art of working with stabilized moss, preserved flowers, and natural materials, an art that intertwined the threads of my past with the blossoms of my present.
