Rescued Wedding Bouquet Turned Into Resin Art

Photos show the transformation of a rescued bridal bouquet brought to us two weeks after the wedding. The bouquet had been left in water and was mostly decomposed. Only a few flowers could be saved — small roses, a peony, and freesia. They were carefully cleaned, disinfected, dried, and sealed with multiple layers of epoxy resin, giving them a porcelain-like finish. The peony center, which had turned black, was reconstructed from separate petals. One of the roses was enlarged by shaping additional petals. To mask dark spots from decay, the preserved flowers were coated in pigmented resin, layer by layer. The color scheme was matched as closely as possible to the original wedding bouquet.
